Do these Terms apply to free trials?
Yes, unless we provide separate trial terms, your use during a trial is subject to these Terms with any usage limits we communicate.
These Terms form an agreement between you and Certinite when you access our websites, create an account, use the dashboard or API, or deploy our software agents. Please read them with our Privacy Policy.

Contract, not a casual click-wrap
Creating an account or continuing to use the service after we post updates constitutes acceptance of the then-current Terms.
You control your infrastructure
You remain responsible for domain ownership, DNS, firewall rules, local credentials, and compliance with CA policies and applicable regulations.
Automation reduces toil, not accountability
Certinite helps orchestrate renewals and bindings; operational outcomes still depend on your environment and third-party services.
Certinite provides certificate lifecycle management tools, including a hosted control plane, APIs, and software agents for managed servers. These Terms govern access and use unless you have executed a separate enterprise agreement that explicitly supersedes them for your organization.
If you use Certinite on behalf of a business, you represent that you have authority to bind that business. “Certinite,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the Certinite entity operating the service for your region or contract. “You” means the individual or entity accepting these Terms.
By registering, accessing, or using the service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised Terms with an updated effective date. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance, except where applicable law requires additional consent.
You must provide accurate registration information and keep credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account unless caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct.
You must be of legal age to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction. We may refuse service, close accounts, or require additional verification to reduce fraud or abuse.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access and use the service during your subscription or trial, subject to these Terms and plan limits.
We may modify, deprecate, or add features. We will endeavor to provide reasonable notice for materially adverse changes where practicable, but we do not guarantee backward compatibility of every API surface indefinitely.
You agree not to, and not to allow others to:
We may provide downloadable agent software. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited license to install and run the agent solely to connect your managed infrastructure to the service.
You will install agents only on hosts you own or are authorized to administer. You are responsible for local security configuration, updates, and compliance with your internal policies.
You are responsible for the accuracy of configuration you provide (including domain names, validation methods, and binding targets) and for maintaining DNS, networking, and server state needed for successful validation and renewal.
Public certificate issuance is subject to certificate authority requirements. You must comply with applicable CA terms and industry baseline requirements (such as key sizes and validity periods) as they evolve.
You must obtain any consents required for processing personal data you submit to the service and must not submit regulated data categories unless expressly permitted by agreement.
Paid plans are billed according to the pricing presented at purchase or in an order form. Unless stated otherwise, fees are non-refundable except as required by law or our Refund Policy where it applies.
You are responsible for applicable taxes. We may suspend access for overdue accounts after notice where required.
We retain all rights in the service, our software, documentation, and branding. Except for the limited rights expressly granted, no license is implied.
You retain rights in your data. You grant us a license to host, process, and display your data as reasonably necessary to provide and improve the service, consistent with our Privacy Policy.
Our collection and use of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy. Enterprise customers may execute additional data processing terms where offered.
The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that certificate operations will always succeed, that third-party CAs or DNS providers will be available, or that the service will be error-free. You acknowledge that TLS automation involves external dependencies outside our control.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither Certinite nor its suppliers will be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenues, goodwill, or data.
Our aggregate liability arising out of these Terms or the service in any twelve-month period is limited to the fees you paid to us for the service during that period (or, if none, one hundred U.S. dollars). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases our liability is limited to the minimum permitted.
You will defend and indemnify Certinite and its affiliates against third-party claims and costs arising from your use of the service, your data, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of law, except to the extent caused by our willful misconduct.
We may suspend or terminate access for material breach, non-payment where applicable, security risk, or abuse. We will provide notice where practicable and where required by law.
Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases. Sections intended to survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, and governing law) will survive.
If you have a separate enterprise agreement that specifies governing law and venue, that provision controls. Otherwise, these Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the Certinite entity providing the service to you, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
Unless mandatory law provides otherwise, exclusive jurisdiction and venue for disputes will be as specified in your enterprise agreement or, if none, in the courts competent for that Certinite entity’s place of establishment.
We may revise these Terms to reflect new features or legal requirements. If changes are material, we will provide additional notice when appropriate (for example email or in-product notification).
For questions about these Terms, contact us through the support channel listed on the Certinite website or in your workspace.
Yes, unless we provide separate trial terms, your use during a trial is subject to these Terms with any usage limits we communicate.
Operational responsibility is shared: we provide tooling and orchestration, but outcomes depend on configuration, connectivity, CA behavior, and your infrastructure. You should monitor expiries and test renewals in non-production environments.
Transfers may be restricted to prevent abuse. Contact support for enterprise migrations or ownership changes; we may require verification.
If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Create an account, read Security and Docs, and run a controlled issuance and renewal test.
